12" LA Choppers. Here is a good before and after if anyone wants to see a height comparison to the stock bars. I am 6' tall and the bars are just below shoulder height. Very comfortable. When this 10 inches of snow melts, I will be able to give it a longer ride. I also changed out the brake and clutch lines because I did not want the black lines.

Thanks. The Honda gas tank is an on going restoration project. 1982 vs 2014

I'm about ready to **** in my hands and rub it all over my head! After 4 1/2 hours of screwing with the throttle side, all is well. So, I start on the clutch side thinking this should be easier when BAM, the Bikers Choice Primeapes are not designed for use with Harley heated grips!!! I found this out AFTER calling the Bikers Choice 800 number and them calling the manufacture. Now it all comes back apart. My question is, who makes a primeape style bar that will accept the Harley heated grips? I'll check back tomorrow to see because I'm going to go start drinking now.

Those prime apes look a lot like Yaffe Monkey Bagger bars or the Vindikta's. Both cost about a $100 more than the Biker's Choice, but I do know that in the case of the Yaffe's they DO work with the stock heated grips.

Is the left side problem for the heated grips..the ID of the bars? if so consider measuring your stock bars and a drill bit or reamer bit?
i know its a pain but at this point And if you sure theres no other issues your going to run into, it may save some aggravation and shipping time and all that goes with it. good luck, keep us up dated.

agreed a beer or two would be better than your first thoughts Lol

Hang in there man. If you do decide to **** in your hands and rub it all over your head, please do not post pics. On my WO12" apes I had to grind down /out the bars to make the heated HD grips work even though it was said to not be possible to have heated grips.
