if they had a pointed edge, i probably would consider those. i'm just not into the curvy bars. being above the fairing really isn't a problem for me. i've been riding for years without a fairing (this is my first bike with one) so, i doubt i would even use the heated grips anyway.

Why are you guys cutting grips off? My willie G's come off as soon as the control button housings are split, and those are what lock them in place. Unless the kury stuff doesn't lock in like that, but I thought only the stock left grip glues on.

Even with kury's? If someone is doin apes and spending the money, $50 for better grips is peanuts.

Yep even those. I paid 80 for the set I have now. Worth every penny though, really nice grips.

It took a lot of twisting and turning, but I managed to save my grip. Got everything torn down, new bars due to arrive today.

So, no matter what I try, I cant get the right side of the bars wired internally.

Mostly because the connectors for the TWB assembly wish to reside right in the "peak" of the bars.

If I have the control harness inside the bar, I cant get the TBW harness to push back down once I connect the TBW assembly.

If I do it without the control harness installed, I can get the TBW assembly seated, but then cannot get the control harness back through.

WTF

My only suggestion would be to buy the new throttle assembly from Harley. It doesn't have the green plug. I can see where that peak would be hard to work around with the green plug.

i bought one of these. i was 'told' that it will make the internal wiring work a billion times easier.
