Is the setup the same for prior years CVOs? My limited is black and I thought in 12 or 13 the inlay on the chrome piece was black. I love the look of the new one but I think plain black would look better on my TK

Try this parts look up site. It shows a different part number for the 2013, but doesn't show really what it looks like. The 2015 is a black fiber insert that would look great on a dark color bike.

Thanks for the info and advice!..I already swapped out the air cleaner cover insert for one off a SGS because I liked the black... I haven't seen any of the 15 CVOs yet.. going to have to check it out this weekend!!

Hey I got my parts to put this on my 14 Ultra and when I took the dash off I noticed that there is no mounting bracket for the new chrome cover to mount to. Is there another part that you needed to order other than the 2 I ordered?

There are two brackets you can buy to mount it with, but I did mine with some new thin 3M double sided tape.

Ahh ok. Was just wondering after I took off mine to find the 3 holes for mounting and nothing to mount them to. Have you had any issues with the tape not holding? I live in Florida and the heat tends to make tape not always work the best.

Do you happen to have part #'s for the brackets?

Thanks,
Mike.

Yup. Looks FANTASTIC to say the least! I did the same mods to mine - thanks to scottt for his help on that!

No comparison to the OEM plastic tank trim. I of course have the same CVO trim on my bike.

You are more than welcome. I love turned aluminum trim, manufactures have used this trim on some pretty special cars. 55-57 T-Birds, Bullit Mustangs, Boss 302 Mustangs, Firebird Trans Am and of course the real classic era cars like Packard. I enjoy seeing this "classic" IMO trim on our bikes. Sorry for the long reply.
