Oh my, the next thing you know the whiners will want a power kick stand!
Do you people ever have thoughts of suicide?

At the dealership they push the bikes all over the showroom floor on the jiffy stands sliding along the floor when they are re-arranging the floor setup of the new and used bikes.

Power kick stand? That would be as dumb, as replacing your 10 inch windshield with a 3 inch windshield and then whine about buffeting. And then they poked a big ugly hole in the fairing to keep you happy.
Oh, never mind!

Default Kickstand

How many here have freaked out during that slight forward movement and desperately attempt to hold the the bike to stop It? That forward movement still freaks me out.

LOL!!! Sounds like me. That OCD kicks in and I end up looking like Rainman making sure the stand is fully extended. Only time I almost dropped one of my bikes was the day I installed the 12.5 " Progressive rear shocks on my Sportster. I got home brought down the stand and I guess the height difference was enough to make a difference and I ended up gently helping the bike down. Actually why lie? I ended up going down with the bike that night.
A similar thing happened after I bought the FLHXS. Pulled up to my parents house and parked on a nice level surface and as I was getting off it almost tipped over. Luckily I was able to support it with my body and managed to keep her upright.

My confidence in the stand is pretty shot. Anyone know of any upgrades available?

Never mind upgrading the kickstand. I just need to get used to the damned thing. I love my bike.

Kick it all the way forward with your toe, and learn to look at the tab while you're sitting on it...

I understand your concern, and you're right, you'll get used to it...

Harley engineered it well, it just seems scary.

Are you saying that the bike can be headed on a relatively slight downgrade and if the stand is locked it will not roll off? I was just a little nervous to try that and see.

When in doubt, put it in gear.
