Default Electra Glo saddlebag lights

I just finished installing a HD #67800449 saddlebag light kit, everything was straight forward and simple, just unplug the existing wire harness and plug in the new harness. Everything works fine except that when I turn the ign. swithch to acc the new saddle bag lights come on, none of the other lights come on. I do not believe this is correct, no lights should be on in the acc position. Has anyone else had this issue?

It is not an issue at all. That is how the saddlebag lights work now. Led's don't use a lot of current though so it shouldn't be a problem unless you want to remain in a "Stealth" mode of operation.

I am well aware that the LED lamps are a low current draw, but I have to question why do they need to be on and if that is the design an explanation should have been included in the installation instructions. Most people probably don't know or even care if the tail lamps are on in the acc position, but I would like to know if this was done by design or if it could be a faulty component.

You have correctly installed them - think of them as accessory light, like your parking lights on the car).

On accessory, your radio should be on too.

Sounds like it is not a hardware issue, just wanted to know if all other installs were experiencing the same condition. The radio and dash lighting have always operated in the acc position. That being said I am good to go, thanks for your responses.

I installed them on my 14tk and they do not come on with the Unless switched on at each light. May Be mine are wired wrong but I'm pretty sure they are install per directions. ??? I'm talking about the interior lights.

Default Lights

As replied to, this is the normal set up, mine were installed at dlr. and they respond as others have said; The designers do not always anticipate the user to question their methods, but to follow blindly :-)
Sorry for landscape view, could not get rotation (designer again)
