Question Does your Infotainment system do this?

I've noticed whenever I shut the bike down and then power it back up more than a couple of seconds later that the stereo seems to have a mind of it's own and randomly decides which mode it comes back to life in. I can be listening to music from a thumb drive when I shut down. But when I start it back up it might come up in XM mode sometimes, or FM, or maybe it'll surprise me and come back up in media mode. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to come back up in the mode I had it in last. Is this just the way it is or what? Same thing happens if I was listening to FM radio last or XM. Seems like it would power back up in the last mode used but that just isn't the case.

I turn volume all the way down then turn the radio off.

When i start the radio will come to the Accept Screen but will not go beyond that.

When i click on accept, it will always go to the FM radio. Since the volume is off no noise/music, then i go to favorites, take the iphone or ipod and it picks up exactly where it left off.

But mine will always boot to the FM radio, after i hit accept.

Mine does this too. Not sure why. I almost always listen to the MP3's on my stick. But sometimes on start up, the screen goes black, then to the time-only screen, then to the FM mode. And it does this sequence so slow, that I'm wondering if the radio is going to work at all.

That is exactly what happens to mine, it is by far my biggest complaint about this bike. I always listen to a thumb drive and very seldom does it start where it left off. It starts back up in whatever mode it feels like, no rhyme or reason. Hopefully the next software update will fix it. I have the .5 update so maybe the .6 does it.

Mine always resumes on the flash-drive....IF....I let the system boot, hit accept, and start. If I am in a hurry and don't wait, it almost always goes to FM

Mine does it..and I think I know why. If I have a small 128 drive in the USP, that can easily boot up when the system comes on. So, if using that, it boots to the thumb.

When I install my 8 GM thumb, that takes a little time to boot - just like the Nav system. So, the system goes to the next best thing- my radio.

It's gonna take Harley a lot of updates before they get DA BOOM right. I honestly think all are having an issue or two.
