Default Speaker Lids 2014

Starting on my list of "to do's". Besides dirty bird, does anyone know of an aftermarket speaker lid for the 2014 Street Glide? His look nice, but the $530 price...

Hogtunes doesn't have them for the 14's yet. I am waiting on theirs as well as I think they look great. I hope they come out soon.

Cycle Sound has 2014 lids for 6"x 9". The Harley lids look awesome, but 5x7 is an issue. I'm hoping Hogtunes does a 2014 lid that styles like their prior years. I'm looking at the Kicker amp & controller, seems right for an iPod system. My plan is loud & clear from lids, with hopes of avoiding speakers on my RK bars.

I like the hd ones too, but trying to stay away from what will be most commonly used...if that makes sense? There are plenty of great sounding 5x7 options out there so I may going this route. It's surprising the limited amount of body accessories that are out for the 14.

@ billd check out the Bluetooth version of the Kicker system. It allows you to link up to your phone than control volume, tracks, etc from the kicker controller. Nice thing about this is you could just leave your phone in your pocket. The Kicker amp has a lot of power, never overheats, and it's priced decent too. I'm not selling anything..just giving my $.02.

The cycle sounds are the best option at the moment in my eyes, but I don't like the funnel that mounts the speaker to the lid. I can't imagine that being good for sound quality or volume

Different strokes, when i first got the bike iwas thinking, amp speakers etc., but after getting the pipes, tune etc., and riding again i decided to go with the music coming into the helmet, headset etc. Old ears, i need the music close, and honestly while i like loud or at least pretty loud pipes, loud music coming from a bike cruising in the neighborhood, hmmm don't think so. Nor would i even hear it as well at 70 mph.

But again different strokes.

I saw Hogtunes had a 2014 6x9 lid on a video. Not sure where I saw it, if it was on their site or someone reviewing it. Talked about the speakers and water groove and all. Came ready to paint.

Hogtunes lids for 14s won't be ready until spring based on the email response I got from them last month. Voodoo bike works lids with the JL Audio 8.8 will be ready for 14s in September. Harley 5x7 lids are ready now order from surdyke for best price online. Cycle sounds 6x9 is ready now needs to be painted and yes has a mounting adapter needed and appears to further remove available space in bag being a bottom mount. Vtwin audio has a do it yourself kit for existing lids, again bottom mount and lose some space cause of the adapter and how they do it but it's a solution and won't require paint. I asked dirty bird for specifics on their lids to verify the speaker I was thinking of using would fit but I never heard back.

My plan is to wait on voodoo right now before I make a final decision, I wish hogtunes was going to be ready sooner as I believe they have the best design on a pre 14 lid.
