Anyone that has dealt with howard from motorcycle metal, I would like your imput please, I deposited money in his account last week for olin shocks and he says the money is not there!!! He seems to be a good guy but I am now concerned!!! I am going to the bank to try to track it myself but would like to hear first hand expeirences! !!!

Sorry no experience with this person, but you are on the right track to go to your bank. There is a chance the bank put in the wrong account and the money is sitting somewhere else, don't wait to long because if the bank made a mistake they can hurry and get your money back. Good luck.

 

I've bought from him twice with no issues. I've also never read of an issue with him trying to stock someone. I'd start with the bank and see where the money actually went, I don't know about yours but with mine its easy to get them to track it down.

 

I dealt with Howard a few years ago for my Ohlins. Found him to be extremely knowledgable, generous with his time spent with me, and patient to boot. I would recommend him to everyone I know.
It may be that the problem with your bank deposit could be on your end and checking with your bank to confirm the money left your account is the first step. Once you've done that, call him since he prefers a real conversation as opposed to email.

 

I Had no problem dealing with Howard and i received my shocks 3 days after i ordered them.I used Paypal for the transaction.

 

I sent Howard a check. All went well. Isn't better to run down things on your end before asking if anyone has had trouble with a vendor seeing you don't know where the trouble has occurred? Think about it if you were the object of this type of post.

Bought from Howard, was trouble free. shocks arrived before check cleared, full service and advice/instructions for set up, would recommend for some of the best shocks available.

 

I had the same issue with Howard. It turned out, I'd deposited the money using my business PayPal account--and he was looking for it to come in my name--the two are very different and you can't infer one from the other. Got it sorted out quickly once we figured it out.

Don't worry about Howard. He's honest. You'll get it sorted out.

Howard is a straight shooter, he's been on the forums for a long time and is the authority on Harley suspension. Sent him a check a couple weeks ago for my jri type b shocks and they arrived about a week ago. Installed them on my 14 SGS and couldn't be happier, thanks Howard !
