Gear indicator and cruise control problem

Yes, I had that happen to me before, but it was a while back so a little foggy on the remedy.
As I recall, I pulled the main fuse, located in fuse box under left side cover. Gave it 5 minutes and plugged back in.
When it acted up, I think it happened after riding in the rain, or washing it. I mention this, since the fix may have been just wait it out after what seemed like time for it get dry.
Few days later, I brought to the dealer due to wouldn't start in gear with clutch pulled. I don't remember that it was related, and think gear selector and cruise was ok by the time I made the visit. Sorry so vague on the details, it was about 20,000 miles ago.

I have a riding buddy that noticed his gear indicator was staying on when the clutch was pulled in and also noticed the cruise would not disengage when he pulled the clutch in. He took it into the dealer and they replaced the clutch side switches and that fixed it. Not sure if these are your symptoms but figured I would through it out there just in case.

Only wish the gear indicator would stay on when pulling in the clutch, it would be nice to know what gear you're in as you're downshifting.
