Default Removable Tour Pak

I have the 14 Ultra Classic and put on the quick detach mount for the tour pak when I bought the bike. When I was putting the tour pak on the bike today I accidentally scratched the rear fender with the tour pak mount as I was hooking up the wires to the speakers and lights. Besides putting a towel down on the fender, are there any ideas on how to protect the fender when I install or remove the tour pak?

I was thinking I could put a rubber coating or something on the mounting bracket attached to the tour pak just to be safe. Any other ideas out there?

There is that spray on rubber coating, sorry can't recall its name. That might work to at least help lessen the potential and keep the coating thin...and/or maybe a clear-bra type of product on the fender..just a thought..

Alright, thanks mhsmith451. Is it Plasti Dip? I looks like there are some good reviews on it, I may give that a try.

Ya know, I thought about that when I put the quick detachable kit on mine. But haven't tried to put the tour pak back on yet.

Will it not be possible to put the tour pack on first and make the electrical connections after?
