Default After Market Wheels On Limited's ?

I'm really struggling on whether to put a 21" on the front and a 17 or 18" in the rear. I haven't noticed very few of the limited's with after market wheels.
If anyone has them can you please post a pic. so I might get a direction. What kills me in the decision is the cheesy bottom of our fenders. I have a extra bottom tip laying around and thought of having it painted to match the bike.
Anyway post away if you got them, thanks.

Why?

I wish they would go back to 16" rims and more sidewall for a better ride.

I think it looks "cool" on a "show" bike. But not much functionality. Can't really tour with it. Have a tire issue on a trip and you're down 2 or 3 days waiting on a custom size tire to arrive.

Just my 2 cents...

It will definitely ride a lot harsher....I went up 1" on front & 2" on the rear on my 2010 SG with chrome agitators and tires and the ride was awful...(looked cool though)....I might consider a larger rim size on front, but I'd stay the same size on the rear.

I guess if you're just doing some local cruising & going for appearance the big rims are OK, but I wouldn't want to go across country on one.

Limiteds have linked ABS brakes. If you go over 18 on the front, be prepared for it to throw codes like crazy since the size proportion has changed. They only allow 10% variation on the stock 17". Personally I like the shorter fatter tires, the low profile tires don't ride nearly as nice. My ABS threw codes like crazy when it was on the dyno since only the back was turning.

Well after taking another trip to the dealer and looking at a lot of bikes I'm sticking with stock. These 14 model wheels are a contrast version and look pretty good with a chrome front and polished rotors which will be installed on mine in a day or so.
When I get it back I'll post pictures of the bike as well as mods made, thanks guy's for the words of wisdom !!

I like the front wheels so much on my Limited I put a FatBoy fender on to show them off. Harley has come a LONG way on stock wheels the past couple years.

Wow, that would look horrible IMHO!

I wish the Limited still had 16" front and rear like my 2002 Fat Boy did. I like that fat tire look but apparently I'm in the minority.
