From what I have read; Enabling the eitms is strictly for comfort, it does nothing for the bike. For that reason I prefer leaving the eitms disabled. The motor sounds and feels better firing on two cylinders. With the water cooled heads heat is not a issue. To each their own.

I've done the same. It's real easy to set back to "Enabaled"

Where did I steal this from, oh Harley forum. Anyway, this is what it said,

"
Read the manual last night so I thought I knew EITMS activates when engine temps are above 284 deg. Then noticed the radiatorfans not on. Thought this was odd. Went to dealer who called HD headquarters seeking answer. I think this is new for 2014 bikes. The EITMS activates when outside air temps are above 80 deg. Manual is misprinted."

I just can't believe that a Harley manual could have a misprint! Wait, yes I can.
