Default Airhawk pad for passenger, anyone use them ?

Wife is having some comfort problems on long rides with the stock seat. She can't really stretch out much on the back and is getting numb butt. Before I go with another seat we were looking at the airhawk pad and it seems to get some good reviews. Anyone have a passenger that uses one and what do you/they think ?

I already know the usual stuff "you can test ride seats at the dealer, MCC can rework the seat, Mustang, Corbin etc etc..." Just looking for some feedback on the airhawk from people have actually used it.. Thanks...

My wife uses one on the back for long rides. It will extend comfort time by 30 minutes.

We use a friend's Airhawk on long trips. It's a butt saver for her as well as me. We change out at gas stops from nothing, to beads, to Airhawk. Of all the combinations, the Airhawk extends the riding the best for us. The key is to have it barely inflated. So much that it's hard to believe it would provide any benefit. But it really does.

I've been looking for used ones. I definitely think they are a good investment if you ride more than 200 miles at a time.

I have one somewhere, it was a gift from a friend. It works; the only thing I wasn't too crazy about is how it changed my seating position on the bike. As mentioned, the real key is finding the correct inflation pressure.

Only the one that's built into the seat, Danny Gray Long haul/ Airhawk 2up. The ol quit complaining immediately. Because the "10" Street Glide had the worst passenger seat ever.

I bought one of the Airhawke R models and really like it. No iron butt trips but did 350 miles one day comfortably. I think it is the best thing you can do for a stock seat.

I actually keep mine inflated almost all the way. I've tried it with very little air, but didn't feel like it did much good. So I said screw it, I'll just put a bunch of air in it. That worked great for me. I was able to ride 12 hours straight one day. But haven't tried a passenger one yet. That might be in my future sometime. A lot cheaper than buying a new Mustang seat.

Get the rectangular one for the passenger seat, it fits nicely and gives more coverage to the butt.
