Default kick/jiffy stand, roll forward issues?

are there any known issues with the above on the rushmore models?
and are they adjustable? (ie: move forward)
i never had an issue with the dyna stand, but on my street glide, the bike appears to move forward with very minimal contact, unless left on an incline. it seems very unstable compared to the dyna. are they like this on the touring bikes?

ive had a look, and it appears to be locked out at the max it will go forward, and nothing seems loose.

thanks in advance.

It is not a problem.

Try this... if you're strong enough, WITH is on it's jiffystand, stand on the left side, grab the bars and push forward... the stand will skid, but the bike will stay on it.

Yes,they seem to "walk" slightly forward after You put kickstand down. You will want to grab bars and stop movement.Later, You will learn to ignore the movement, knowing it is not going anywhere.

After being told over and over not to worry about the 'roll forward' and seeing a demonstration by the dealer that it will not fall, I stood and watched as mine fall over in my driveway!

It was totally my fault, but I will not trust it anymore. My bike was parked and on the jiffy stand. I needed to move it forward about three feet. I stood on the jiffy stand side, held the bike by both grips, leaned it up, and pushed it forward. I then leaned it back down on the jiffy stand. It started the 'roll forward' as usual. I stood and watched as it rolled all the way forward and fell on its side!! FT@#!$%. Did that really just happen?

When I pushed it forward, the jiffy stand was pushed back just enough to be out of the little tabs that hold it in place. I should have checked this before leaning the bike back on the jiffy stand. My fault and it won't happen again.

It is unnerving and that is why i double, triple check it down and fully extended, and then if it is not perfectly level, it stays in first gear. I like the cruiser cradle chock it stays in when in the garage or wash time, now that is a secure setup.

After a ton of Harley's I learned not to worry about it. Last camping trip with a slight decline I leaned it over and it "felt" funny when I leaned it over, but didn't worry about it and wham it folded up and was laying on the crash bar. Now I worry all the time. Mike

The only way it is going to fall is if the jiffy is not engaged in the tabs to begin with...

And that's like saying your coat will fall on the floor if you don't actually put it on the hook in the first place.

tomorrow, its going up on the work shop stand, and i will see if its feasible to remove a small piece off the stand edge, to allow a greater lean angle when parked.

As a fabricator, I'd be careful: there is a very slight concern for the tab breaking on the stock setup (although I've not really heard of one doing that), I'd like the tab to be able to take the weight of the bike when I park and let it go, trusting the tab. Let the forward roll freak out the tourists instead.

If you are really concerned about the rolling forward issue, why don't you just park it in gear????? I've never had one ever fall that was PROPERLY put on the jiffystand and on steep inclines I simply put the bike it gear. Problem solved easily
