Default Do You Like Linked Brakes?

I wish they would recall the linked brake system on my bike...2014 Streetglide.... I don't like it at all. I hit one brake, either one, and I go to hit the other and it's like the brakes really come on strong when I just wanna slow down a little bit.

What does everybody else think?

I don't have any issues with mine.

I don't do anything different than I ever have. The only difference I notice is if I hit the rear first, the front lever is stiffer.

I've never had anti-lock brakes on any of my other bikes, don't know why I need them now, but it came on the bike. Weird little system. Makes odd little noises now and then. I was checking it out the other day, it doesn't look like it would take much to take the abs off and make it just standard braking system. However, my insurance company gives me a discount for having them on.

I'm fine with the linked/anti locks. Don't really notice them in particular from day to day, and they unlink at low speeds, so fine by me.

I like them. Had them when I rode a Goldwing years ago & was always wondering why Harley didn't do it. Guess they finally caught up with some modern technology. Good move on there part.

I have to say I really like mine as well. My 2014 is much easier to stop than my 2012.

No issues here.. I moved up from an 01, she was like stopping a freight train.. Now, it's great on my 14, just took a little getting used to.. They work as intended...

I guess my problem is the brakes are so much more touchy when I say......have the rear brake on and I then apply the front brake. Since the front is already linked to the rear it just applies that much more compounded pressure to the front brake. Slows the bike down way more faster than I intended. It seems harder to work them in tandem like every bike I owned before. I may just want to apply rear brake for instant in a corner with gravel or such. There is no individual braking anymore. I do have ABS and that works fine.

I like the braking system. I have not had any issues.
