Anybody regret buying a '14?

I've been riding for 40+ years. I've taken the MSF advanced riders course a couple of times but I agree with jkane13.
First gear is too high on these bikes. My FatBoy wasn't geared that high. I see no real reason for it either. I know how to ride the friction zone but why should I have to for SO long and at such speeds? First gear should be more of a crawler gear, jeeze there are 5 more to handle the rest of the range.
Oh and reverse would be nice for my old legs.

I have owned 12 New Harley's in my lifetime, 8 that were touring models. Kind of nuts I know. I purchased the 14 Limited when they first came out last year. All it took was a couple of test rides and I was sold. Traded in a 2007 CVO Ultra for my 14 Limited in Daytona Blue. As one of the early owners I had the leak issue; once the revised filler neck came out my leak issue went away. This is by far the best Harley I have ever owned, It has and does everything I have ever wished for. Do I regret buying? Not at all!!! I am finally totally satisfied, hope to keep this bike until I can no longer ride. I will fail before the bike ever does.
If I were you I would wait until the 15's come out, just to be sure. Then choose between a new 15 or 14. You would have more to gain than loose.
Good luck

Went from an '85flht to a '14ultra--after almost 3K miles no real issues--don't like the interface on the infotainment system but will get used to it I suppose--great power and I like the tall first gear--maybe needs a seat backrest----
Other then buying an occasional tshirt hadn't been in a dealer for 30yrs(at least)---more change there then on the bikes!

I went from a paid for 2010 Brilliant Silver Streetglide with chrome agitator wheels to a $7000 trade difference 2014 Daytona Blue Streetglide.
Cons: Fairing vent does little to prevent buffeting...Stock radio will not recognize "playlists" on my flashdrive...Airwing luggage rack led light from 2010 will not plug into 2014 wiring harness...Lots of complements on 2010 Silver bike with chrome wheels (good thing)
Pros: Awesome Daytona Blue Pearl color...Bigger 103 high output motor...Saddle bags much easier to open...Radio is a big improvement and matches other dash lights at night and is upgradeable to larger 6.5gt...Larger front wheel rim size...Most accessories will swap over (e.i. both driver and passenger backrests, slip-ons, airwing luggage rack)
Bottom line: I am extremely happy with the new bike. It's not perfect but it's pretty good for me.
