Default 6.5 infotainment GPS issue

I am currently on a West Coast trip and have found the following issues with the GPS. If anyone has answers...
1. I set the clock to 24 hours. When using the GPS, with Current time and arrival time in the lower left and right, the current time shows in 24 hour format (with am or pm), but the arrival time is in the 12 hour format. Is there a different place to set this, or is this a software bug?
2. Time zones. When I crossed from Central time to Mountain time in Nebraska, the Gps, set to gps time, actually moved me to PAcific time. Nothing I did, including switching from User defined time zones back to Gps time corrected this. A day later when I switched to Gps time, it recognized Mountain time. Then when I crossed into Pacific time, in Oregon, the Gps moved me to Alaska time...!
Five days later and nothing I have tried gets this right, so running in User defined.
3. User defined time. Since I have problem 2., I am using this and today when I started up, the time was 12.00am... Not realy but that' wht the bike said.... I switched to Gps time, that corrected it, but in Alaska time. I then changed to user time and it was correct... Odd.

I don't have any help for you but it sounds like your covering a lot of ground. Good luck and ride safe!

I don't know if it would make a difference to GPS time, but did you try turning on/off the DST? I'm just wondering if that might have any effect.

Andy - I am a little lost on your comments.

If the current time is in 24 hour format, it should not show am or pm. Please look again to make sure it is showing the 24 hour format. Example 18:38 is 6:30 PM and it should not be showing 18:36 PM.

When you or the dealer set the nav system or bike up, did you select Zone - auto as the option? and, you do want DST - on.

Time Zone maps in the 6.5 are incredibly wrong.

I just got back from a 15kmile trip from Denver>Key West>Lubec, ME>Homer, AK and the 6.5 TZ map was wrong at just about every crossing.
- I-70 in KS, 100 miles too far east
- Shows Western KY on EST
- I-80 in IN, 50 miles too far east
- Saskatchewan shows in DST - SK doesn't participate in DST
- Yukon Territory, entire territory shown 10 hours off. At one point, it showed 10 hours & 45 minutes off. 45 minutes? Where'd that come from?

Probably due to the Hungarian programmers not having an understanding of TZ practices in North America.

I fully agree with you... There should be no am or pm shown in 24 hour format, but that's what mine shows 18.38 pm....
I will try playing with the DST today. I know it is currently on.....

I have mine on 12hr clock, and auto time zone goes wrong for me too.

Recently found Oregon goes to Alaska time zone, as OP noted.

Went correct PST in Washington, but now in Idaho pan handle, went back to Alaska(as an hour behind)

Last month, Knoxville TN, it stayed as CST(as I recall...whatever it was, didn't change) it also went wonky in Virginia, but don't remember how so.

I live in AZ, with no daylight savings, and that also is an issue. Need to reset clock at time change, change my zone when everone else has the change or disable DST.

Fwiw, I'm confirming goes to wrong zone via setup>clock auto zone is enabled. Once autozone is clicked into, the zone it's working in is highlighted. Keep as is for auto time zone, or select another to manually select different zone.

Edit-when I was in OR, I did go by a dealer and looked at another new bike's clock. Couldnt duplicate in the quick try i did. They had manually on Pacific. I changed to auto time zone, time stayed the same, and pacific still highlighted. Tried changing man/auto two or three times and stayed ok.

Default Time zones are F'd up

Agreed with last comment. I am in SD and some parts of the SD trip I was in Pacific and sometimes it was right when using the GPS to set the time. It kept screwing up my arrival time which should have been in Central time.

I have a list from my trip of all the things wrong with the system. I plan on doing a write up when I get back. I hope someone from HD is reading these posts and fixing this thing. The GPS has so many errors it can't be relied upon.

2014 Limited. Just turned 9k and it is only 50 days old, so I have put it through its paces and the bike it self has been a trooper and everything I thought it would be when I bought it for this trip. However, I can say the opposite about the Infotainment system. It needs a lot of work and was designed by someone that does not ride. It is coming up on a year old and the fixes have been minor and the GPS hasn't been updated. Common Harley, BMW is kicking your *** when it comes to the system side. No bluetooth to the helmet. Really????

Most of the times, I've been lucky, and just surprised that I had the wrong time. In Oregon.
I was pretty disappointed though. I thought it was coming up on 7pm, decided to skip dinner in current small town for the next small town, but restaurants were closed 30 min earlier when got there. If knew correct time, could of had a real meal, instead of gas station fare.
