Found this on the web from parts4powertoys.com - goes through the install of their gauge install: http://www.parts4powertoys.com/doc/O...structions.pdf
This is their unit they sell: http://www.parts4powertoys.com/en/pr.../details/17--2
This is not the unit I have but the installation for my bike was the same.

I would not even try that. The AAT sensor is part of engine controls management. It's used by the ECM to control engine function.

Harley makes a kit for this. You remove the air temperature gauge and install the oil temperature gauge in its place. The gauge plugs into the air temperature plug. Then you run a wire from the sensor installed in the oil pan. The Harley part number 70900283. I've installed this and it works great.

You really sure you want/need an oil temp gauge? It'll give you another gauge to monitor or more likely fixate on in the summer. It won't change how you ride unless you plan on pulling over to let the oil cool down when it hits some arbitrary number the internet engineers spout as gospel. Save your money and use a high quality synthetic oil and enjoy your new ride.

AMEN to that!!
People respond to post to to respond yet have no clue as to what they are referencing. PAY attention folks, the OP clearly mentioned '14
And WindMan, I agree, not something you want to disconnect from the ECM, and go adding something else. the CAN Bus and ECM will certainly start throwing codes.

Interesting.
I am installing the Harley Oil Temp gauge on my '09 Road Glide.
I may be missing something, but the schematic in the shop manual does not indicate any electrical or physical connection between the air temp sensor and the ECM.
The only wires to/from the air temp gauge are:
hot, ground - light
hot, ground, air temp sensor input.
Unless the ECM can somehow discern the air temp from the common hot or ground I just don't see it.
