I just ran to RS on my lunch hour and scored one for $5, can't wait to go home and install it on my new to me 2014 FLHTK. When I purchased this bike last month I thought it to be odd that a touring bike didn't have sound on the alarm. I mean I bought this bike for touring which means overnights in hotels. I would have paid the $100 for the HD siren but why waste $$ when I'll get the same piece of mind for $5? I agree if someone wants to steal it they will no matter what but this should help me sleep better in that hotel room!
Thanks for this thread!!!!

From what I have read here on the Forum I decided to buy the one on eBay for $19.00 no tax, free shipping. It came in the mail today and I was already messing with the bike. The instructions were clear although the wire colors for the Rushmore is different than the 2013 back which is listed on the instructions. No big deal was pretty easy to figure out. I used zip ties to mount it and the total installation was maybe 10 minutes.
Well it chirps once when you turn the ignition on. It chips once when you turn the ignition off. Then you have to move or wiggle the bike three times for the alarm to go off. Holy Cow that thing is loud!!!!
The wife and I both love it. For $19 bucks I could not be happier.
