Default Stage 1 and sound question on 2014 Limited

I have the SE street canons and am happy with the way it sounds now. Dealer is suggesting I get the Stage 1 AC, V&H headers to get rid of the cat, race tuner, and a dyno. Will those changes make the bike louder? I really don't want more sound. Just after a better running and cooler motor.

Lots of threads on here stating the Cannons get WAY louder without the cat. I have them with the Stage I air cleaner and HD download. Keeping the cat as I wouldn't want them any louder......

Thanks, guess I'll be keeping the cat. I don't want it any louder than it is now either.

I can tell you from personal experience that the street cannons are WAY louder and actually annoying when I put on the Power Dual headpipe. So much so that I removed them the next day and sold them. Not only were they louder, the exhaust tone changed to a hollow raspy sound IMHO. I run SuperTrapp Fat Shots now. Great performance with the power duals and just the right sound I had with the cannons with cat.

I have the street cannons, SE air cleaner and stage one flash on my Limited. Kept the stock header pipes. Very happy with the result. Sounds great, performs great and no heat issues. All warranty complaint. I don't think you need to de-cat the header pipes on the twin cooled Limited.

Congratulations on your bike!

Well I'm in the minority here because I love the way the bike sounds with the V&H duals and 4" Rineharts. Before it just did not sound right to me with the stock pipes, my friends Honda was almost louder than my bike...lol... Now it's pure HD rumble!!!
