Looking at a new 2014 Ultra, and I wanna upgrade the exhaust right off the get go. I want a V&H True-dual head pipe with 4 inch Rinehart mufflers, along with a stage 1 download from HD. 1 dealer is saying no problem and another dealer is telling me it's not possible, I have to buy a tuner also. Also i'm being told not to upgrade the intake, because it's already a high flow. Is this correct?

If you are looking for the best performance go with your exhaust of choice, intake, tuner and get her dialed in!

Did you have them go into detail & explain there reasons? The 14 A/C are supposed to be better that earlier years. If you want to get the best performance you should go with a turner. Did they mention a dyno also? I suggest you do a web search about this, you'll get some great reading material & you'll be able to make a choice. Good Luck.

Yes tuner and dyno were both mentioned. Would not sell it to me without the tuner and dyno unless I only went with slip on Rineharts. They said it was unsafe to not use a tuner. On my 12, I have a true dual Rinehart a Screaming Eagle intake and just a download though, without a tuner.

Get an intake, and the fuelpak fp3 ($300 from Kutter). They'll have a base map for the v+h headpipes, and select a similar muffler. Then do an autotune session and be done with it. You'll be happy.

Yes you need a tuner with that setup, i would suggest a Power Vision from Fuelmoto.

Whoa, have you even ridden this bike? These things are impressive right out of the gate. Fuel Moto posted on their thread large power gains with just 4" jackpot slipons. And this was with the stock AC.

I am amazed at the power of my 14 limited without mods.

Just saying, give it a little time before you just jump in with the mods, might save you some serious cashola.

Yea, I rode the bike. If I hadn't rode one, I wouldn't be thinking about trading!

There isn't much to be gained from the dealer stage 1 download. The best situation would be a tuner and Dyno session after the bike is broken in. I personally went with the SERT PRO but and still on a stock map. Hopefully I can get it in for a Dyno tune shortly.
