Default Stock Exhaust - I like it

I might be part of a really small percentage here but I like the sound of my stock exhaust. I don't have any problem with people who want to change it but in my opinion Harley spent a lot of time making it sound the way it does and I am ok with that. No plans to upgrade anytime soon. Just the right volume as to be heard but not so loud I want to wear ear plugs when I ride it.

And NO, it's not becuase I am too cheap to buy upgraded pipes.

I liked the stock sound, didn't care for the volume. I like to hear the exhaust over the tire and engine noise. But that is what is great about these bikes is the ability to make it your own, even if that's just the way ya bought it.

Stock on the Limited was better than stock on my previous HD but still a bit anemic for my tastes. Put the Street Cannons on and feel pretty good about them. Good tone and deeper; actually I wouldn't mind a bit more, but I want to hear the radio etc. so these will do.

I agree too. I don't think I'll change anything with the exhaust. It's got enough rumble but I can still hear the radio. I can make it get as loud as I want when I want too.

100% agree. I like the stock sound. It's just right, actually louder than my 2011 Wide Glide with stock. I won't be changing mine either. Glad you made this post. I was starting to think I was the only one!

It was just okay for me...needed just a tad more, so I went with the RCXhaust twin slash slip ons and stock head pipe with cat. and Fl-Vied-10's. Still running stock AC but I have the screaming eagle kit sitting on the bench ready to go on. Throttle response is much better and it idles smoother. Paid $375 for the mufflers.

I am happy that your enjoy your bike the way HD designed it. It still sounds like a Harley. My background was my 68 sportster that eventually had the carb jetted, and straight pipes. So this bike sounds a little docile to me so that is why i dropped my bike off today and am getting a tune, intake, head pipes and slip ons, all Vance and Hines. Also getting the wire harness/adapter to use the phone and listen to the music via the ear cups, hope it sounds good.

Different strokes, its all good, the bike rocks either way.

Well, I'm a rider who has been passed quite often by some of the new bikes with stock exhaust.

For what it's worth, they sound pretty sweet going by. They certainly aren't "loud," but have a nice deep rumble.

I liked the stock setup until I installed my V&H twin slash ovals .
