I am looking for pegs for my highway bars on the 2014 SG. Search Harley andthey sell the "mounting kit" for the pegs. Really? That is separate? There is not one other manufacturer on the planet that does that. Maybe if theydidn't split every part into 5 different parts they would make more moneyselling this stuff and there wouldn’t be such a huge aftermarket for thesethings.

Seriously?

I have 16 printers, just buy a new one every time the ink runs out.

I can one up you.....

I bought the $1000 Chopped tourpak....right....and I get you have to buy a special lock keyed to your ignition for $50 bucks BUT THEN THEY SELL THE 2 SCREWS TO SCREW IN THE LOCK TO THE TOURPAK FOR .55 cents EACH.

I bought the HD screws and figured they would be for the PAIR since you need two...BUT NO....I only received ONE SCREW. Had to order another for .55 cents.

LMFAO !

From the other side of this, I wanted to buy just the bracket because I bought new passenger floorboards for my SGS and I want to take the stock passenger pegs and use them as my highway pegs.

If they only offered the highway kits together, then I would be complaining you can't buy them without the pegs. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I prefer to have options.

Pricing is a whole different matter. I suspect if the prices were more in line with a complete kit, you wouldn't see it as a big deal.

The stage 1 air cleaner is another good example. You want a black back plate $54 more. Want a K&N style air filter for it fess up another $60.

Pisses me off too.

First Harley?

You have a valid point but the MOCO has been doing this for decades. Add to that it probably isn't made in the USA. Fortunately, with Harleys you don't need HD ever again once you buy the bike. There are enough aftermarket parts makers that you can avoid the "oh you want to attach them to the bike?".

They have like 15 different peg choices and people get really into themes and want them to match
