Infotainment/GPS Question
#11
You can show a bunch of different things in the 2 fields on the lower right and lower left. Particularly nice when navigating somewhere. I just touch the field and a new screen pops up > choose whatever you want. I usually have "time" on the right and "eta" on the left. If I'm trying to minimize fuel stops I'll have "miles remaining" on the left and my res indicator counting down. I was able to eliminate one gas stop on the last trip from Arkansas, which was nice.
Which shoots my theory that my speedo is "gps" accurate all to hell. Thanks. I should have known better.

Thanks for explaining this. I was attempting to recalibrate my speedometer using the infotainment speed. No matter what setting I imputed, it would not adjust and show one mile slower than the speedometer. I guess I have to get my Garmin for the recalibration.

Yea, it's simply amazing how that Infotainment Speed and the Speedometer indication are exactly the same. Duh! I am Shocked! Just positively Shocked! My Goldwing was the same way . . . and it was wildly optimistic. I bought an adjustable module called "Speedo-Healer" (not sure if there is one available for our Harley's) that electrically sits between the V.S.S. (Vehicle Speed Sensor) and the Computer that reads it. The Speedometer on my Goldwing is now accurate to within + or - 0.010 MPH. Not sure why this is such a problem on Bikes. On Cars and Trucks they've been pretty accurate no matter the manufacturer since the mid 1980's when most of them went to the fully electronic instrumentation systems our Bikes are using now.

It will save you tons of aggravation in trying to figure out this system.
