Wish the boom software was updated more often

My dealership is on the correct side of the road in the GPS mapping data. That is a function of the Map data source and nothing to do with the firmware updates we're talking about here.
I suspect if you checked several other map source data, those addresses would be on the wrong side of the road as well. That kind of thing is almost like a map virus. The odd/even address data gets entered into one DB incorrectly and it spreads to others.
I live on a circle (u shaped) street. My house number was on the opposite of the circle in Google Maps and every GPS system I checked for a decade. Suddenly, it was corrected in Google Maps and every other system quickly followed. I haven't had someone tell me they were looking for my house on the other side of the circle in years.
My point is that the map data is sourced from several shared systems through licensing agreements. It's not going to be fixed by a firmware update. As whatever map system(s) HD is using, gets updated and refined, those type of errors may or may not get corrected. That's life with global map data at this point in time. Use absolute geo coordinates if you need absolute accuracy. Everything else is subject to error on any system.

....remember the olden days when we just jumped on the kickstarter, maybe had a table-napkin map in your back pocket, and the only music you listened to was the music (or in some cases, voices) in your head?.....
The MoCo will update when it's d@mn good and ready. As soon as they can shovel all the money away from the Technology Departments door and get to a live person, they'll do it!!!
