been meaning to report back...
I'm a solid week+ of riding on my new wheel set.

again it's a 2014 SGS...
FRONT: 140/70-21 metzeler on a 21x3.5"
REAR: 180/55-18 metzeler on a 18x5.5"

1. ABS light seems to ONLY come on after 60-70 mph is hit...
when the light is on, the bike seems to act no differently. I think this is due to it reverting back to a NON-ABS bike...feels like my 2010 non-ABS EG did.
2. the ONLY issues I seem to have is on start up...first 2-4 brake attempts w/light off. right when I leave home.
it effects both from and rear brake. they seem tight/stiff and shutter. once I pump the brake a few times, it again acts normal.

in the end, as of now, I'm more than ok with how it's acting.
we need HD or someone else to come up with a trick or flash or new bearing to solve this, but I knew that going into it.

no, it does not brake like it did with stock wheels and functioning ABS...but my belief is more so than the ABS issue, it's the increased rolling diameter.
realize a larger wheel set will not brake as well as factory specs if you're using factory brake components.

I'm going to add new pads to the mix, and stick it out till we have a way to get the ABS back online.

Thanks to Drew (HogPro), It is working as it should. No ABS light at all now. Drew pointed out the obvious so I ran out there in the garage to see....I couldn't believe it. I installed the wheel backwards . Guess I got so excited and in a hurry to see what it looked like on the bike I didn't pay attention to the obvious. Wife noticed the rotation arrow at the bottom of the wheel and thought it was pointing forward so she didn't say anything to me.. Installed it correctly and no light

My last customer who had an issue with a 21" wheel and the Dunlop tire did the same thing so it was easy for me to figure out. It the little things that make a difference with these new ABS bikes. It is a very common mistake made on bikes that are dual disc in the front.

Went for a short ride today. ABS light came on just a few miles in at speeds above 55. On tye ride home, I kept it at or below 55 and the light never came on. Guess I will have to do some constant speed tests to see at what speed the light comes on. Hopefully it stays off and that was a fluke.
This was with a 130/60/21 and stock rear on 2014 SGS.

little update....Went for a ride yesterday. First thing in the morning, rode about 8 miles to get some gas and the ABS light came on. Then rode about 100 miles of various speeds from 35 to 75 and it never came back on.

I am hoping it resolved itself. We will see on an upcoming ride this weekend.

Default Not all are having problems.

I went to order a 21 for my 2014 Street Glide and the seller informed me I may have a Issue with the abs. He stated that it seemed to be the early 14s That are having the issue and not all the 14s. I have two friends that have 21s on their bikes One was installed at the dealer and the other did it himself. They Both are running the avon 120/70/21 tires and neither have had a issue. My luck being the way it is I plan on putting the Dunlop tire on from the start so That i have a little insurance. Just wanted to throw that out there and say thanks for the Info on this situation.

Based on this thread, I changed my order from a 16" rear wheel to the 18" since I have her on the jack with the 21" installed.

Hopefully, with the 18" rear, I have no issues at all.
