I have long suspected that the software for the 300W amp upgrade accounts for the fact that those with this amp seem to have less of a problem with their AVC. In fact, if you go to the Harley downloads you will see that there are two different sets of 17.4 downloads available. One is for the standard 6.5 Boom! and the other is for the CVO 6.5 Boom! (a 300W system). Although we don't know exactly the two software downloads are different, it could account for the variations we see in how effective the AVC is. Still waiting for the rumored 17.5
