I agree 100%.

Over the years, I've tried about everything, from SYN3, to Amsoil 20w50 VTwin, to automatic transmission fluid to "primary fluid"
Started with Drag Specialties brand, but it is hard to find, went to HD Formula+ and found it to be pretty good, so that's where I am now.

I started using synthetic oils in primary after the 1000 service but changed back to HD Formula+ at the 10,000 mile service and think the clutch engagement feels better with the Formula+.
+ 1 well said

On my 09 I switched to the Redline Primary oil in the primary. Made a huge difference in the clutch performance. This is after I tried the HD brand and a few of the others mentioned.

This is always a great topic, and with a lot of different answers. Just run what ever you want and feel comfortable with. Engine Amsoil, tranny Bell Ray, Primary Formula + has worked for me !! Good luck and ride safe !!
