Here in hilly PA, I lost a lot of reception with the hidden antenna. I spent a week trying to tune it by moving it as far to the outside as possible but in the end I returned it and went back to stock.

I also bought (and returned) the hidden CB antenna but never used it so I can't comment on if it lost any reception.

That is just unbelievable, that someone would say a connection that is readily available is "almost impossible to obtain". I buy from a couple of different manufacturers and both of them have an abundance of male and female fakra connectors, some for boards, coax, wire, 15 or 16 types.

I guess if you read this John, then you can contact me and I will supply you with the "almost impossible connectors or plugs.

Comma's aside - I have the J&M hidden installed and can't see a difference, better or worse when compared to the stock whip. I like it a lot as it really cleans up the back of the bike once you remove the studs sticking out the tour pak.
