My ignition switch got turned while installing new handle bars, and now the **** won't go back in all the way. Is the HD ignition switch alignment tool the only way to re-align it?
I've done it with a long, skinny slot screwdriver. Look down through with a flashlight and make sure the grooves line up. This was on a 2008 Ultra, but I'm sure it's the same for a 2014. Good luck...
screw driver as others have said. Turn the bars to the left like you would to lock the bars, turn the screw driver counter clockwise one click at a time till the bars lock. Slide the ignition fob in, in the bar lock position and it will go right in. Don't ask me how I know this
I ended up using the 1/4" copper tubing like the video. Just lightly hammer about 3" of it flat 'till it's approximately 5/16" wide and bend the top over to a 90 degree angle.
