Default Mute will not turn off on the 6.5 Infotainment system

I finally got my trike yesterday and I now have started figuring out the Infotainment system. While I was waiting for the XM radio to download it was cutting in and out so using the mute button I muted the system, when the XM loaded I tried to turn off the mute and the sound would not come back on, the indicator at the bottom of the screen was the speaker with the red line through it. I attempted numerous times to get the sound working by pushing the mute button and turning the ignition off and on but that did nothing and from what I could see in the owners manual for troubleshooting this problem. I'm open the suggestions.

Thanking you in advance.

Take it back to the dealer & have them go through the new bike orientation with you. It's part of what they're supposed to do as part of the sale.

Your volume is probably all the way down, turn it up with the handlebar switch. All the way down will show the muted speaker icon

JupiterBlueCVO you are correct. I had the same problem and it took me better part of a day to figure out that the volume was all the way down.

Real nice that you helped the guy out, that is what the forum is for. The guy prior to you with the take it back to the dealer comment was not very helpful at all. I wonder if Hammz thinks he was being helpful ?? or was he just being an a#$

Isn't that switch kinda like a rocker switch, one half mutes and the other shuts the system down? I've found that to be the case on my bike...

Rotcart, glad you got the radio working. When looking at the options you added to your Tri Glide, I noticed "CB radio & hand microphone". I was curious to know how the handheld microphone worked? Do you have to press the PTT switch AND the switch on the microphone to transmit or can you just use the switch on the side of the microphone? I see you also added "Boom Audio Amp with Speakers". Did the dealer have to do anything special to get the Boom Amp and the CB module to fit the new trike? Thank you and best of luck with the new bike.

If you hold that button down for 3 or 4 seconds it shuts the system down. If you just press it it mutes the system.
