Strange Exhaust / Air Cleaner noise
Hi,
Recently installed the SE A/C kit on my '14 Limited. I also have V&H Power Duals installed.
With this combo I hear a noise from the throttle body area, didn't hear the noise with the stock back plate on. Sounds something like an aquarium air pump running with no hose connected!
The noise is only heard when accelerating with partial throttle, and is not heard during full throttle.
At first, I thought it was an exhaust leak, but I've proven otherwise by removing and inspecting the exhaust ports and gaskets.
So, has anybody else heard this noise? Never heard anything like this on my '08 with SE A/C and 2:1 pipe.
Wes

Your going to hear the intake more with a open air cleaner. You will get use to it, it's normal. I remember back in the day we use to flip the air cleaner lid so we could hear those 4barrels ! Seriously if you think about it with free flowing exhaust your hear more air coming out, so if you add a free flowing intake your going to hear more air going in.
Also your hearing "reversion" and that is the point where both the intake and exhaust are open at the same time... Valve overlap.
