Never had a problem with the reception on the original one. Did you mount it on the supplied bracket?

Anyone have a shot of where the XM antenna goes/looks like? The FM reception is horrible and I'm kind of getting tired of always listening to my iPod. I do stream the XM app from my phone but it's not really a perfect solution.

I installed the bracket in the 2 upper screw in front of the volt meter that help support the speaker box right side, or left side w/faring off depends how you look at it. Perfect reception...It has a magnet base as well as the sticky tape.
For some reason i didn't get all my channels then sirius sent a second signal and everything worked out fine. You get a free 3 month all access pass w/no credit card needed when you install the card into the boom

I have terrible reception on my xm when traveling due east down a certain road here. I'm going to open up the fairing again and take a look at where they mounted it. It was the only thing I got the dealers to install. I have a feeling my antenna is not in the right spot.

Someone on this or the touring forum mounted the antenna on the inside window dash opposite the vent fairing button? It didn't look too bad and he claimed he got better reception? I'll post it if I can find it?

See Diggman's post #45 on hdfourms touring. Thanks Diggman, might be doing same thing with my antenna?
