Default Is my SGS to high? Or am I to short?

I'm 5'10 and I put a Sundowner seat on my SGS for me and my wife to be comfy and now on the bike im on my toes at every light. I just feel like that's not safe to not be flat footed.......

Will the seat or shocks break in at all and maybe go down a hair?
Bike is brand new with hardly any miles......

Maybe the seat, also depends on your inseam not your height. I am 5'8 and have no issues. Flat footed with room to spare

Had the same thing with my Limited - on my toes, hard time backing up, etc, and I was seriously considering lowering it. But, after a few hundred miles I noticed I was flat footed when I stopped, so I am assuming I didn't grow...

That seat is higher than your stock seat. It will break in "some". If you think Harley's sit high, you should ride a BMW, you'd think every German is 6'5"

I have an older model (08) and a very short inseam, 29 inches. I had Progressive Drop In Springs installed in my front forks and it lowered it almost 2inches, made a world of difference for me. Ride is good, no it don't bottom out. You can determine the amount of drop by using PVC spacer. I think lowering the front helps more than lowering the rear.

I can not say enough about my Mean City Cycle narrow seat mod. I'm 5'9" with a 29" inseam and I'm fully flat footed now. Also no inner thigh pain as well. I came from a softail and this seat real make me feel like I'm in th bike versus sitting on top of it.
