Question rush muffler

Want to switch mufflers on 14 Limited, can I put the rush mufflers from my 09 ultra on the new bike. Everything I read about these mufflers your should have 2.00 baffles in them. Nothing about 1.75's..

Thanks

According to Rush, if you're running the stock head pipe (with cat) you need to run the 3" baffle.

I spoke with RUSH on the phone about their Big Louies with stock cat in head pipe and they said 2.5" or the 3" depending on how loud I wanted the bike to be.

I don't think you can get 3" for standard Rush mufflers, and the OP said nothing about Big Louies...

I've ran 1.75's on stock headpipes.

Not an issue.

I have also ran 2.5's and 2".

They will work.

You're right I was talking about the Big Louies, he wasn't. The Big Louies according to Rush require the 3" baffle with a stock hp to avoid any discoloration.

I took my Rush Big Louie's with 2 1/2" baffles of my 09 Street Glide and put them on my 14 Limited. Love the sound and Rush said they are perfect size with the cat. Three thousand miles on the bike and still looking good as day I bought them three years ago. They came out in 2010 when the first 103 engines came out and the 2 1/2" was also recommended by the Rush rep at that time as well as long as using the cat head pipes.

That's good to know, the 3" baffles are pretty loud if they wear on me to much I could go to the 2 1/2".

On a new stock bike with a catalytic converter in the head pipes, we recommend the 2.50" baffle or 3.00" baffle. The 3.5" diameter standard slip on I suggest the 2.50". The Big Louie the 2.50" or 3.00". There is a link to the youtube video of a 3.00" baffle in my signature and on our website.

If you have an older bike without a catalytic converter, or new one with aftermarket headpipes, we recommend the 2.00" baffles but some riders who put on lots of highways miles might prefer the 1.75" baffles.
