Default daymaker headlight install

Just bought the new daymaker led headlight and harness for my 2014 SG. Has anyone done this on a 14 yet? Looks like I would need to cut off the stock harness and splice some wires together which scares the poop out of me on a brand new bike. Before I go cutting away just want to make sure this is indeed the right parts I have...

It is plug and play.

If not, you've got the wrong light.

I've not done it myself, but I have read numerous threads from guys here that have.

I do not believe HD would sell the light, it needing spliced.

Actually on the sg I think you need to buy an adapter harness

Yes you do need the adapter harness for the Street Glides, which I purchased, I was just surprised when I took it apart that I had to cut a harness off...didn't like that and it didn't seem right to me. Anyone else done one on a Street Glide yet?

Yes, I did it. Unplug old harness, plug in new harness, plug in light and done.

If you cut, spliced, or soldered anything you either did it wrong or bought the wrong stuff. Or bought non-hd parts.

I know i bought the right parts and even called the dealer to open a harness box from their shelf to see if it was the same as mine. My plug fits on one end but not the other. The stock head light on my 14 has to plug ins one for high beam and one for low beam, the new LED has only one plug...was yours like that?

This is the new harness and it only has one connector, stock plug has two. This is the right one according to the book, and looks like mine too. Did yours look like this? It would be virtually impossible to plug in as the plugs don't match?

I did mine a while back. Part #69200897 was plug and play. Definitely no cutting or splicing. Take off the factory jumper from the harness to the original light, replace with the new one and connect to the new light.
