Default not impressed with SGS suspension. anyone else??

so I got about 500 miles on my '14 special now and I have to say the suspension especially the front does not feel up to par. I have had it bottom out multiple times now and it fells very bumpy/chattery on certain roads, was wondering if anyone else has found the same thing. bikes rides great when the roads are like glass but those are hard to find

additional info-tires are aired correctly, me with gear about 220-230lbs, rear shock I have set to that weight. bike is bone stock, this is my first Harley came off of sport bikes and metric cruisers

Its Because the Harley shocks suck....
Currently waiting on a set of Legend Revo's for my SGS. I as well have about 500 on her.... LOVE the bike.. but yes the suspension is a bit harsh. Looking forward to swapping them out and selling them on Ebay.

Loving the suspension. Have yet to bottom out. Maybe you have a defect or need a diet

To bad the Rushmore project did not include a smoother ride. About the only thing that has always bothered me about my 11 King was the poor stock ride. I don't expect my new 14 King to ride any better.
Maybe over time the Rushmore thing will get around to making them ride smoother. I cant bring my self to spend $1000 for a nice ride.
All of my Harley's have had a bit to stiff of ride for me, but I still love them.

I have stock SGS springs on my Limited.

I love the ride. Nothing wrong with it at all... I've been riding for 29 years.

Maybe if a fella thinks it sucks so bad, he oughtta sell it and start looking for a Cadillac or a Lincoln.

Just sayin'

Love the ride compared to my 2013 Street Glide. The front is very good compared and the back is a pretty good upgrade as well.

Yes the stock suspension needs work. Front end brake dive is unsettling to say the least. I'm narrowing my choices of suspension upgrades at the moment.

Mine is a definite improvement over the '11 model I had. Could still be better.

just checking, you do have the HD premium shock, which was supposed to be a big improvement over the previous stock air shocks.
