suspension
so I got about 500 miles on my '14 special now and I have to say the suspension especially the front does not feel up to par. I have had it bottom out multiple times now and it fells very bumpy/chattery on certain roads, was wondering if anyone else has found the same thing. bikes rides great when the roads are like glass but those are hard to find
additional info-tires are aired correctly, me with gear about 220-230lbs, rear shock I have set to that weight. bike is bone stock, this is my first Harley came off of sport bikes and metric cruisers

I've got about a thousand miles on my 14 special front end seems ok but the rear is a little bumpy. I started hearing a banging noise on the rear and when i had it at the dealership this past week for the thousand mile they found that the stud on the rear fender had broken and the fascia was making the noise. good news is that it a free fix but it will take between three and six weeks because they have to order a new rear fender and and it takes that long to get it painted and shipped to the dealer.

Nonsense if he did that he would have nothing to whine about

Mine was really rough. Now over 3k it has definitely smoothed out but wifey thought the big bumps were going to break her back. That was without adjustment though, and me at 190 and her at 150 could use that adjustment. Solo though, give it time and it smoothed out. I am looking for the 13" simply because my back is jacked up. I'm even willing to do a straight 1for1 swap for the 13" premium shock or maybe a set of progressive shocks

I find the front rough. Mine is also lowered in the front though. Dont know if that has something to do with it.
