Has anyone put extended bags on a 2014? Can you use the stock lids or have to convert to 2013 latches? What companies are making bags for the new bikes? Is everyone retrofitting the 2013 Bags?

 

You can buy harley brand color matched painted for the 14s . Uses the stock lids .
Topshop also makes stretched 14 bags that retain factory lids.
Your going to spend over a K either way you go .

 

That's my next investment. Figured I'd stick with HD bags, already color matched, for $1400. Two reasons - they're already painted the exact color so I don't have to worry about getting a third party's bags matched, and secondly I usually end up with $500-$700 in rewards to blow at the dealer every year from my HD Visa card, so I could theoretically get the bags for half price, or even more if I hit their winter sales the right way.

 

If you haven't seen the top shop bags you might want to before you purchase, they look awesome. You can see picks here on the forums and on top shops Facebook page but last I looked they didn't have them on the web page.

 

I looked up top shop on fb and some auto parts store in Kentucky came up, is that them? It's gonna be a hard sell for me to buy bags for hundreds more than I'd spend on MOCO bags and still have to have them painted on top of that.

I agree with the cost, but me being in the same position of wanting some good looking bags its a tough choice to spend more on a great set or buy what every CVO already has. The set on the forums a member installed the 2014 top shop bags on his 2013. Also top shop will paint for extra using Harley paint. You have to call for this.

 

I've been messaging top shop this morning for prices and whatnot, so we'll see what they say when it comes time to buy.

 

I have looked at different manufacurures websites but none cover the 2014 bikes, all are for the older style lids. I guess I will have to give each one a call to see what they offer.

 

I bought the CVO bags and topshop minister CVO fender. Now I wish I would have used their bags also but they didn't have them out when I ordered my bags.

 

I was sent a pic of topshops '14 bags and I'm not sure I like how the bags taper in at the bottoms as viewed from the back, I was going for a more squared off look.
