Default Out in the rain... another stereo issue

Of course it wasn't a planned ride... freak storm popped up and drenched the world around me. There were a few chances for some hydroplaning but the bike held up great. One thing that did happen, I couldn't control the audio on the left joystick (home, volume, next/previous). I had multiple starts/stops. When I got home and garaged (and a little leaf blower love), it started working again without problems. Anyone else experienced this with the infotainment?

My buddy just bought a '14 Street Glide Special and when we were out riding the other day, his volume rocker quit also (no rain). He killed the bike, turned it off and then started back up, volume rocker started working...

Mine will do that as well, probably about once every other week it will happen. Same fix turn off the bike and restart fixes the problem.

My bike was about a week old, me and a few buddies had Rode down to bike night for sandwich and a beer on the way home when they turned off I blew the horn and the whole left side quit. I took it to the Harley store the next day they just took a new one off the floor and switched out the computer chip never did tell me what the problem was.

The volume control freezing supposedly can be fixed by downloading the sound system software update off Harley's website to a memory stick then updating your radio from there.

A software update may or may not fix your problem, but they certainly can't hurt. If it doesn't defintely let your dealer know. The only way HD can fix issues is if they are aware of them.

To reply to the OP, I only got soaked once so far. No issues with water messing with the radio controls.
