Accessory Switch On Ultras and Limiteds
#12
I've done quite a bit of research on this accessory issue and the dash switches. Only switches available from Harley are another aux light switch with graphic and a momentary button that can be used for various stuff like garage door openers. Switches are backordered right now and run about $16 each. If you want to use the switch module on the right side with the dummy cover, the module is about $60 then you need to figure out how to wire stuff, it runs back thru the accessory connector under your left side cover and that even requires a $25 pigtail to convert the current 8 pin connector (yea the old 4 pin is gone) to a 4 pin that lots of vendors and Harley hook to. I did find a good alternative switch though. Pilot makes mini rockers in various illuminated colors that fit really nice in the stock Harley holes that are 3/4 x 1/2 inches. $3.99 ea. I'm hookin up my driving light using the hot wire under the fairing (the old orange and black one that used to be near the headlight wires), it's now upper right under the outer fairing. Gonna run it to the dash with the new Pilot mini rockers. Hate to cheat Harley outa all that extra dough he he. Made my own pigtail connector from that acc output. The pic shows one switch, I will buy two others to fill those open cavaties till I decide if I wanna hook up more stuff.
