Default Satisfaction with 18" Rear Wheel Tire Options?

Are you guys that swapped to the 18" rear wheels happy with your decision? The only tire option I see for the wheel is the Dunlop 180/55. Not that that's a bad tire, and sometimes too many options is just as much trouble, but seems like a monopoly. Even Michelin doesn't have anything in that size. Would hate to get wheels and regret it or forced to get tires from the dealer all the time. Just a thought.

The stock Dunlop 407 is a good tire & it is your only viable option right now. It's a little pricey if you don't get it from a discounter, the other 180/55-18 tires are sport bike radials & they aren't load rated high enough & will get less than 1/2 the mileage. Duinlop is supposed to making the 180/55-18 in the Am Elite, but probably won't be available until a year from now, the 407 is good for 12-18K on average.

I am running it, yes it would be nice to have alternative options but. for now until Michelin comes out with one, the Dunlop will do
