This set up helps you stop better because it stops the forks from fully compressing during panic stops.
In my linked review, I noted that fork dive on braking was almost nonexistent. It's definitely a "performance" suspension upgrade. Some may find increased performance more "comfortable" but don't confuse that with a more plush ride. It is a less plush ride as is any performance suspension upgrade. Stiffer, more controlled, less nose dive, more damped compression and rebound.
If you are looking for a more BMW and less Caddy-like ride, as was I, it's the ticket. If you're looking for the opposite, you will be disappointed.
This is on my 25,000 mile to do list. It's my understanding that you have to pack or replace the steering head bearings at 25,000 miles. Figure that would be the most efficient time to install the premium front suspension and chrome lowers. Am I missing anything in my assumption?
