Default Dumb Bluetooth question

Got the phone paired with the SGS no problem, but when I answer the phone the caller can't hear me, I can hear them. Now this is sitting in the garage not riding, so I need a bluetooth headset?

No, you need a wired headset. And the headset wiring kit added to the bike.

It would seem logical that a wireless headset would be offered to operate with the system.

There are a million threads here about it. There is no Bluetooth headset capability. If you search for posts by me, you'll see my feelings about why that can't technically happen with the current technology.

The SG or SGS doesn't have a built in mic or even the capability of using a wired headset. There is a kit available to add the 7pin plug like the Limited and Ultra have so that you can use an HD or third party wired headset.

THAT fact is insane that HD sells a bike with the Infotainment system that has no capability to add a headset without having to wire in an optional jack. It made sense before 2014 since the headset jack was used for CB and intercom, which the SG never had. But now that the SGS comes with the 6.5 system, it NEEDS the 7pin plug for the required wired headset. Dumb.

Why would you expect logic in H-D's reality?
