New SGS Dealership Issues
So I just picked up my 2014 SGS on Sunday and was wondering how long did the whole purchase ordeal take you guys?? I was at the dealer for 5 hours. that included the test ride and evaluating my trade in. Seemed like an excessive amount of time to me but maybe not.

As long as you got a good deal I wouldn't complain. I understand where you are coming from. I found the bike I wanted about 300 miles away. We agreed on a price. I told them I would be there at noon the next day,and to have all the papers ready to sign.
I left my house at 4:00 am because of all the mountain roads with snow I didn't want to take a chance in being late. I got there at 20 minutes till 12. They had nothing ready, and I quote "I didn't think you were really going to come". I was there till 4pm getting everything done. Oh well they gave me a super deal, and had the bike that no other dealer in my state had. Just be happy you got the bike of your dreams, that's what I did.

Bought my SGS a week ago. In and out in under an hour - worked a deal over the phone with dealer that was 3 hours away. They had financing and everything ready when I got there, walked around the bike, made sure it was exactly what I wanted, signed paperwork and done. No trade-in (private sale) so that was a bonus.

I went to the dealer, he did not agree to my price. I left, about 30 minutes later he called. We came to an agreement. So that was an hour.
Went back and he already had the bike in service doing the stage one. I was there about 2 hrs. After doing the paperwork then the card game..........the bike was ready and I left

Call me the slow one but I was there for over 8 hours. All in working the deal as I knew exactly what I wanted and wasn't budging. Wifey was starting to get very antsy wanting to leave. She said at one point "You know you aren't going to get everything you want". She was wrong but I won't tell her that.
