Is there a big difference in price for radio shack siren and hd siren. I know the hd is around $100, seems like with the aggravation of the radio shack install just be easier to put the hd one on. Am I looking at this the wrong way?

There is a rather huge difference in the price but the HD is more than just the siren, it's also a pager radio module. Adding one of HD's pagers allows you to be notified from afar (or in the motel room 10 feet away) that someone is messing with your bike. I love the security of knowing all is well with the bike when I can't directly see it. I have the rechargeable pager and it works great and the battery lasts for several days.

RS Siren isn't hard if you have a little mechanical ability.. I had maybe 15.00 in parts. Nothing wrong with the RS siren if you want to have it chirp with every ignition cycle of the bike.I paid 79.00 at Kutter HD for the factory siren which is a very simple install. Also HD has a backup battery which prevents someone from unplugging the siren without a fob. As others have said you can also add a pager if you choose.
