Turning off chirp mode on 14 sgs??

No I Didn't
Dont know if it wont work(shut off) because its a Radio shack siren or what. I just know that chirp makes the dog crazy.

Since your from the area, were you by any chance at Geneva-on-the-Lake today - Sunday 07/06/14?
Scoot just like yours was parked next to me when we left. We were parked just East of SBG.
I also have the RS siren and mine did not chirp when I first installed it.
I did the IGN routine and changed it. It took a few tries.

I have a radio shack siren to install on my '14 SGS. Can anyone refer me to the instructions on how to do this mod?
P.S. - 02 Electraglide - send an e-mail to the form moderator and he can help you change your screen name to a new one. He will also link your old name to your new name for e-mail forwarding. I think his name is Terry and he helped me change my screen name.

Its probably a setting available to the alarm upgrade only. That module is much more complicated than just a siren. It has its own antenna and many other electronics. HOWEVER, there is a way to wire in a capacitor and resistor to the radio shack module to 'absorb' the short chirps.

Chirp mode update using Radio Shack Siren FYI.
I broke down and bought the HD siren since the "chirp mode " was making the dog crazy using the RS siren. Obviously you cant make the RS siren operate in the chirpless mode. I tried with the RS siren to no avail, installed the HD siren and it will switch back and forth between mode's easily. Dog's happy, Mama's happy, it's all good.
