AC, I like the 300518 bars and want to install them on a 12 SG and 14 Ultra. Dealer says 3-4 hours labor, so I guess Im going to do the install myself.
To bad I cant get them done for 2 hours, $150 is ok, $300 isn't.
You have great labor rates. Here in California it's $100 per hour.
Has anybody installed Khrome Werks 1.25 inch 2+2 Stretch Chrome Bagger Handlebars on a 2014 ultra ? If so do you have to install longer brake an clutch cables ?
Does anyone know the stock height of the 14 RK bars? The wife wants 2-3" taller bars. I was looking at the Khrome Werks 16". The stock look to be 15" from the riser to the grip and that would make the KW shorter???
I was going to do them myself too, when I called the dealer, and he said 120.00 plus tax, it was a no brainer. I thought it would be allot more too, and I understand, $300 is too much.
ACLazer, quick question. Did they internally wire the bars? Or leave them like stock?
Man if I could get someone locally to internally wire them for $120 that would be awesome and a no brainer. I was quoted six hours form local dealer.

They called me when they had it in the shop, and said for another $90 bucks they could internally wire them for me, I passed, and said no thanks.

I did the change over last weekend and I was able to get all the wiring through the bars but the the lines from the 2 switch controls were just a little too short to reach the plugs behind the triple tree. I pulled those 2 back out and they were long enough to reash when installed outside the bars with ties as they were from the factory. Had to simply loosen and then re-torque the brake and clutch hydraulic lines but they were long enough to reach with the new bars.
I thnnk I'll get a set of these and re-wire internally....these should be much more than long enough and for the price much easier than soldering all the wires.
