Default Delayed FOB Recognition?

I installed the audible alarm on my '14 Ultra a month or two ago as I did on my '12 SG. What I'm finding is that I can be sitting on, or standing next to my bike and my alarm will sound for several seconds before shutting itself off. The antennae for the security system is located elsewhere on the bike (I've heard under the seat somewhere). When you install the audible siren you install an antennae for the optional wireless pager. I also notice that the antennae for the '14 is installed up on top of the siren receptacle under the side cover vs. along the frame rail on my '12. Wondering if the location is causing some kind of interference resulting in the security module taking longer to recognize the FOB?

Anyone else have this happen and/or have any ideas?

Default A little late to reply

I had not noticed until someone on this forum pointed it out that the system on the 14's does not disarm until switch is main position. If it is in accessory or off the fob is being constantly pinged for a response if you are moving the bike. Sometimes the response is not fast enough and the siren goes off. Glad it was mentioned because it's also a good way to run the battery in the fob down. I can't remember if the 13's where that way but I like how the 14's kill all power if fob isn't there some someone can't leave it in acc and run the battery down.
