I feel like I am missing something. I have CD led turn signals front and rear and the rsg magic box for the rear strobe effect so I was thinking that the 8" plasma rods in the turn brake mode would be another great addition. It looks like they would adhere easily to the fender fillers between the bags and fender without any bracket, composite filler or anything. I have seen some videos just attaching them there and they look very stealth. Is the bracket issue only a '14 issue?

Quick question, do I need the MPR-BCM for install? I only want the plasma rods to function as brake and turn signal only. Will the adapter make install easier or something?

I have the plasmas on my 2014 SGS no problem installing using the adhesive, the purpose of the brackets would be to easily remove the plasma rods if you ever sold the bike and wanted to keep the them.

The MPR-BCM makes installation a lot easier, not only does it make an easier install, but you do not need to splice into your stock wires when using the supplied posi taps. For the price of the MPR-BCM its well worth it.

They do. I had my plasma rods on my 13 and stayed firm for almost 3 years. Transferred them to my 16 rgs just fine. Clean your mounting with rubbing alcohol and use new 3m and your fine. No need for extra expenses on mounting brackets.

Thanks for the info, but will I still be able to just use the plasma rods as brake and turning lights only with it?

Yes, I have a video on you tube in the install. That's how I ran mine break and turn only.
